Today and the future

Today and the Future

None of us really what the future holds for us but we all have goals that we’d like to achieve. For me this year and following years is all about getting well again following a serious medical condition called Degenerative Cervical Myelopathy. (http://myelopathy.org). However comma etc. just because I have DCM does not mean that I’m going to give up my life, my passion or hobby, actually far from it.

2019

This year as with every year connected to this hobby will as usual get off to a slow start.

Towards the end of February together with nine others I will be making a return visit to Airbus Defence & Space at San Pablo Sur, Sevilla, España for what will be my second and their first visit to see the A400M (Atlas) production lines.

March: towards the middle of the month together with a friend of mine we are off to the USA. Our first port of call after flying from Heathrow to Chicago O’Hare (KORD) will be to Dayton (KDAY) OH where we are going to visit the USAF Museum located at Wright-Patterson AFB. This all provides that the closures of public facilities has ended by then. From Dayton we then fly via Dallas Fort-Worth (KDFW) TX to Tucson (KTUS) AZ for the Thunder & Lightning Air Show due on the 23rd and 24th of that month. I will be staying until the 27th when I’ll fly home via DFW back to London-Heathrow (EGLL). My companion for this trip flies home on Sunday 24th as he has work to get back to!

April: A group of us are looking at attending the Frisian Flag exercise at Leeuwarden AB in The Netherlands (NL)

May and June are at the moment empty months and or at the ‘discussion’ stages. I am hoping that I am able to make a visit to Switzerland in one or other of these months.

July: I will be attending the Royal International Air Tattoo for the day, quite who I am going to go with as yet is to be determined.

August and September are also still in the ‘discussion’ stages

October: I hope to make yet another visit to Airbus Defence & Space before closing the year, or will I?
